Oncocir Story

Founded in 2010, it was the fruit of the initiative of its partners (Dr. Arantxa Moreno, Elola Olaso and Dr. Juan Carlos Meneu Díaz). Gynecology, obstetrics, general surgery and the digestive system, the focus on patients, the center of all activity, the integration in the team of nurses, instrumentalists, physiotherapists and stoma therapists.
The project devised by both, with a consistent strategic plan, was accepted by the Management of the Ruber Clinic of Juan Bravo (today Hospital Ruber Juan Bravo, of the Quironsalud group), and on April 1, 2010, in the Circuit Hospital Ruber Juan Bravo.

Founders

Arantxa Moreno Elola-Olaso

Dr. Arantxa Moreno Elola-Olaso graduated and later received her doctorate (Outstanding Cum Laude) at the Complutense University of Madrid. He obtained the title of specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics via MIR at the San Carlos Clinical Hospital. She worked as a specialist in the same center and in the University Hospital Fundación Alcorcón, being a professor at the Complutense University of Madrid since 2006. She specialized in breast cancer and breast pathology, completing her training at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and in New York Hospital (New York), among others.

She is currently Head of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Service at the Ruber Juan Bravo Hospital (Quironsalud group) and Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the European University. During her professional career she has developed teaching facets (at the Complutense University of Madrid and the University European University of Madrid) and researchers, having been Principal Investigator and collaborator in various projects with public and private funding. The result of his research work are the 10 doctoral theses directed in the last 15 years, the articles, the book chapters and the guides present in scientific publications.

He holds the title of Expert in Quality Management in Healthcare by the European Institute of Health and Welfare, Title of Expert in Gynecological Tumors and the Title of Expert in Gynecologic Oncological Surgery and Breast Cancer both by the Complutense University .

Juan Carlos Meneu Díaz

Dr. Juan Carlos Meneu Diaz graduated and then received his doctorate from the Complutense University of Madrid (outstanding Cum Laude). He obtained the title of specialist in General Surgery and Gastroenterology via MIR at the Ramón y Cajal Hospital. He worked as a specialist in the same center and in the University Hospital 12 de Octubre, where he also worked as Resident Tutor, Head of Section of General Surgery and Abdominal Organ Transplantation and auditor of the European Hepatic Transplant Registry.

Dr. Meneu specialized in digestive cancer surgery (oncological), in colorectal surgery, in liver and pancreas surgery, in esophagogastric surgery and in the transplantation of abdominal organs (intestine, liver, pancreas), completing his training in several centers International: the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Weill Cornell Medical College (New York University), the Transplant Center (University of Minnesota), the Jackson Memorial Hospital (University of Miami), the Thomas Starzl Transplant Institute (University of Pittsburgh), the Bellevue Hospital (New York University), the Angeles County Hospital. He is currently Head of the General Surgery and Digestive System Service at the Ruber Juan Bravo Hospital (Quironsalud group) and Professor of Surgery (accredited by ANECA since 2010) at the European University.

During her professional career she has developed teaching facets (at the Complutense University of Madrid and the European University of Madrid) and researchers, having been a Principal Investigator and collaborator in various projects with public and private funding. The result of his research work are the 5 doctoral theses directed in the last 15 years, the articles, the book chapters and the lectures given, all reflected in scientific publications, indexed in the Index Medicus.

Dr Meneu is also a Master in Business Administration and Management (MBA) – Specialty in Health Management from the Camilo José Cela University / Madrid Training Institute, holds the title of Expert in Quality Management in Healthcare the European Institute of Health and Social Welfare, and eclertificado of BoardEuropeo of Transplantation of Abdominal Organs.

Oncocir was born with vocation of integral service and dedication to patients (in Gynecology, in Obstetrics, in General Surgery and in Digestive Apparatus), with an approach according to the principles of the medical profession: the promotion of altruism, integrity, honesty , veracity, empathy and compassion, which are essential elements for a professional relationship of full trust.

All of them based on Medical Deontology, Oncocir and the medical specialists that integrate it, fully subscribe the Code of Medical Deontology, which in Article 6.1, refers “The main loyalty of the doctor is due to his patient and his health must be put before any other convenience. ”

Teamwork, integrity, honesty, empathy, respect, communication, research, teaching and training, excellence. They are the values ​​that guide the daily work in Oncocir.

TEAMWORKING

In Oncocir, the contributions and skills of each member of the team are valued to obtain a perfect collaboration aimed at improving the care and experience of patients and their families.

At present, Oncocir integrates general and digestive tract surgeons, oncological surgeons, surgeons certified in robotic surgery and surgery for peritoneal carcinomatosis, proctologists, certified specialists in intestinal motility (phmetrias and manometries) and certified specialists in endorectal ultrasound. In the field of gynecology, specialists in breast pathology, pelvic floor, advanced laparoscopy, endocrinology, menopause, gynecological aesthetics, fetal ultrasound and obstetrics are integrated. All this is completed by the team of nurses, auxiliaries, stoma therapists and physiotherapists, accumulating professional experience dedicated to medical-surgical practice and the provision of other health services.
